THESE.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Motcombe unto us, whose Hands and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace (whereof one is of the Quorum) for the County of Dorset aforesaid, That Thomas Bartle and Jane his Wife have lately intruded themselves into your said Parish of Motcombe there to inhabit as Parishioners contrary to the Laws relating to the Settlement of the Poor, and are become chargeable to the said Parish of Motcombe. And whereas upon due Examination and Enquiry made into the Premises, as well upon the Oath of the said Thomas Bartle as otherwise it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, that the said Thomas Bartle and Jane his said wife are become chargeable unto the said Parish of Motcombe and that the last legal Place of Settlement of the said Thomas Bartle and Jane his said wife was and is in the Parish of Sedghill in the said County of Wilts.

These are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Motcombe aforesaid, That you, or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said Thomas Bartle and Jane his said Wife from your said Parish of Motcombe to the said Parish of Sedghill and them deliver to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true Copy thereof: Whereby they are likewise required, in his Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith to receive the said Thomas Bartle and Jane his said Wife into their said Parish and provide for them as their own Parishioner s. Given under our Hands and Seals, the Fourteenth Day of July in the Year of our Lord, 1795.
